
General Rules for All Festival Competitions
Colwyn Bowls Festival Rules & Information
all games will be played to British Crown Green Bowling Association Rules.
all entrants must report in at the registration point on arrival at the green. This must be done at each session, and bowlers must ensure that they make themselves known to the Organisers.
the scratch time is 30 minutes after the start time of each session. Any entrant who has not reported to the registration point, without good reason, within the time will be scratched and forfeit their entry fee. The Organiser of the competition will reserve the right to extend this time in exceptional circumstances.
once the draw for venues and time has been made, it will not be possible to swap session. Any bowler not able to play on the day and/or session, allocated to them, will have to forfeit their place in that tournament. Refunds of entry fees will not be given.
bowlers will be permitted to practice on the green, 30 minutes in advance of the competition (with their own jack). Start time permitting eg in the event of a competition running behind schedule.
all Bowlers who have reached the prize money stage of any tournament in the Festival will forfeit this money in the event of them not turning up to play in the later stages.
all competitions will be 21 up and have something on the card apart from the George Davies Trophy which will be 21 up off scratch.
referees will be in place for all finals.
all juniors to lead in the Adult & Junior Pairs competition.
Mixed Pairs Tournament
each pair to be made up of one female and one male bowler, of any age
Capstan Cup
open to visitors residing outside of Wales and not registered for a Welsh Club.
